Tank the Atomic Wondifier by Callia Steiner

by Linda Coors on October 5, 2011

I have a 9-year-old dog named Tank who is a Golden Retriever-Flat Coat Retriever- Newfoundland- Black Lab mix. The main way he makes me come alive is when I come outside to see him (he is an outside dog) he is always furiously wagging his tail, and no matter how sleepy I am that always wakes me up! Then when I get out his favorite tennis ball or one of his Northwestern Huskie balls he starts jumping around and has his eyes glued on me asking, practically begging me to throw his ball for him. After I throw the ball there is a big chase to see if I can get the ball from him. Then I get the ball again and Tank shoots off like a rocket to get his ball with his Retriever kicking in! Then the chase is on again! Finally, Tank is tired out and he is flopped down on the stones in our driveway so it’s time for a nap! Although no matter how tired I am the next day Tank looks at me with that ecstatic expression and gives me the boost to go on a walk, play with toys, or to just run around in our grassy field!

Sounds like Tank is a lucky dog and Callia is a lucky girl, both to have such a good buddy who makes them feel good.

Callia, Tank sounds like part of the family. I think you wrote a very convincing story.
