About the Program
Whether you’re into group hikes, outdoor art, outdoor movie nights, campfire cooking, community bike rides, or something completely different, this is your chance to bring your idea to life — and get paid for helping plan it.
Current Challenge:
To participate, teens must submit a short video or written proposal outlining:
— The event idea and why it is awesome.
— Why the event is needed in Rutland County.
— Who would participate (such as all teens, LGBTQIA2S+ youth and allies, BIPOC teens, or younger teens ages 11-13).
— Estimated costs (CAO will help finalize budgets).
— The teen’s preferred role in organizing the event.
Submissions should be emailed to [email protected] by April 15.
If your idea is selected, CAO will help make it a reality, and you’ll receive a stipend for assisting in the planning and execution. Stipends will vary depending on the size and complexity of the project.
