- The Mile-A-Day app can access Steps, Distance (Walking Distance), and Calories data from Google Fit. This includes Speed and Distance data and physical activity data from Google Fit.
- The Mile-A-Day app reads steps and distances to create walking sessions for participants. These sessions are used on the leaderboard of participants who have taken part in the challenge. This is to show your rank among your team, and among all participants based on the total and average miles walked during the challenge.
- It is not mandatory to use the phone and have Google Fit data access for Mile-A-Day to work. Participants can walk without a phone and enter data manually in the App which doesn’t require Google Fit data usage.
