2024 Snow Sculpting Competition

Registration for Snow Sculpting is now closed!
This year, we’re holding a Snow Sculpting Competition in Main Street Park on Saturday, February 17 from 10am-2pm. Here are the guidelines for the competition.
4’x8′ snow forms will be carved by teams of 4. Sculptors will have 4 hours to complete their masterpiece. At the end of the day, the sculptures competing will be judged and the winning group will be announced at the event and of course will be given some props on the Winterfest Facebook page. Blocks will be safely spread out and participants will have the option to mask up while on site.
Registration will be taken on a first come first serve basis (max of 10 teams). The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 5, 2021. Registration form must include the selection of VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL for the 4’x4’x8′ snow form. Registered sculptors must check-in between 9:30 AM and 10 AM on the day of the contest. Teams will choose their blocks when they are for registration and will be a first come first serve basis. Sculpting begins at 10 AM and wraps up at 2PM with a call for all tools down. Judging will happen shortly after 2PM. Please note**No tools are provided, in the past participants have used things like: Shovels, Garden Spades, Ice Saws, Chisels, Hatchets, Coarse Wood Rasps etc. No motorized tools may be used in construction.
Households not participating can view the progress of the participants throughout the day while enjoying the Chili Cook Off happening in the park that same day.
